There are three different options available for setting up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) with your college account.
The following instructions are for setting up the Microsoft Authenticator app.
1. After selecting the Authenticator App option, the following dialog should appear:
2. Select the option to "download now" (if you are completing this process from your phone), OR:
Open the app store on your device (Apple App Store or Google Play Store).
Search for the Microsoft Authenticator app published by Microsoft Corporation or scan one of the QR codes below.
Download and install the Microsoft Authenticator mobile app on your smartphone.

3. Your computer screen will direct you to what kind of account you need to add from within the app on your mobile device. Click “Next” on your computer screen.
4. From within the mobile app, select what kind of account you want to add: in this case, select “Work or school account” then choose “OK” and finally “Scan a QR code".
5. Your computer screen should display a QR code. Use the mobile app to scan that code and click “Next”. The following QR code is an example and cannot be used.
6. Scan the QR code directly from the application on your phone. Your Salt Lake Community College account will be added to the app.
7. Click “Done” on your computer screen.
8. Your computer screen will display a number. Type that number on your phone. Select “yes”.
9. Click “Next” on the computer screen.
10. Congratulations! You have successfully configured your authenticator app.
