mySLCC Portal Overview

In 2016, Salt Lake Community College updated the MyPage portal to MySLCC.  The new portal was created with portal developers after faculty, student, and staff focus groups, surveys, data and analytics research on user experience, and direct department input.

The purpose of the updated MySLCC portal is to help students, faculty, and staff easily access technologies and resources seamlessly in one place, with one sign-on.

 

FOR STUDENTS

The new portal is leaner, meaner, and cleaner – we removed clutter and reorganized the layout for a new user experience.

Here are a few updates you can look forward to:

  • Single sign-on for Canvas—no need to sign on separately!
  • Simple, clean, design to help you get to where you need to go quickly.
  • You can get directly to the portal via my.slcc.edu
  • Responsive mobile and tablet friendly design.
  • The “Academics & Records” tab is the location of all academic resources, records, forms, etc. 

 

FOR FACULTY

What you need to know:

  • MyPage is now called MySLCC. You can link directly to the portal at: my.slcc.edu
  • The MyCourses channel will not be available on MySLCC. It was not included in the new update. All data and information from the MyCourses channel will not be saved or transferred.

 

The new MySLCC is:

  • Leaner, meaner, and cleaner – we removed clutter and reorganized the layout for a new user experience.
  • Has a single sign-on (SSO) for Canvas.
  • Governance will be created to help maintain strategy and integrity of portal. 

 

FOR STAFF

What you need to know:

  • MyPage is now called MySLCC. You can link directly to the portal at: my.slcc.edu
  • Banner will not be changing.  All Banner functions will look and perform the same.
  • You can view the student tabs below to better assist students as they navigate the portal.
  • All tabs are aligned with your Banner status. If you have questions about a tab you can’t view on the new MySLCC please contact the Help Desk.

 

The new MySLCC is:

  • Leaner, meaner, and cleaner – we removed clutter and reorganized the payout for a new user experience.
  • Has a single sign-on (SSS) for Canvas.
  • Governance will be created to help maintain strategy and integrity of portal.
