When a student or faculty/staff member need to reset their MySLCC account password, they can follow these instructions from any web-enabled device.
1) Navigate to the MySLCC login page at my.slcc.edu and click on the Reset Password option at the bottom of the page.
2) This will open the Password Reset Utility screen. PLEASE NOTE, you must select "Faculty/Staff" or "Student" button (Student selected by default).
Fill out all of the fields with your current information before clicking Submit.
NOTE: If you see the error message or "Unspecified error - Code:SID01. Close browser and try again." make sure to go back and check that you selected the correct page, Student or Faculty/Staff.
3) This will open the Reset Password page.
You will now be able to enter in a new password. Make sure to follow the criteria and, when you are done, click Submit.
If you change your password from home on a college owned device, your password will not synchronize until you connect to the college network either on campus or through the VPN. Once connected to VPN, if you lock your computer (Windows Key + L), then log back in to unlock it will sync your password to your college device.
NOTE! It can take up to 30 minutes for the new password to synchronize through the SLCC systems.
