Proofpoint Web Console

You can view your quarantine or your Safe Senders/Blocked Senders list at any time by using the web browser and navigating to https://eatspam.slcc.edu:10020 or by clicking on the "Manage My Account" link in the End User Digest.  Your login is your username@slcc.edu and password.

Once you have logged into the Proofpoint Web Console, you can review all quarantined emails.  The quarantine is where suspected spam messages are held on the Proofpoint Protection Server.  Messages will be kept for 14 days before being automatically deleted by the system.

Managing Your Quarantined Email

  • Click Find in the menu bar to search for a message in your quarantine by subject and date range.
  • If you have reviewed all the messages in your quarantine and wish to delete them, choose Delete All from the options on the menu bar.

Managing Options Your Quarantined Email

You man choose one of these options to add, release or block one or more messages from the quarantined email list;

  • Safelist:  Deliver the message to your Inbox, add the Sender to your Safe Senders list, and automatically report that the message was not spam.
  • Release:  Deliver the message to your Inbox and automatically report that the message was not spam.
  • Blocklist:  Add the Sender of the message to your Blocked Senders list.

Manage Your Safe and Blocked Senders

Safe Senders List:  messages from Senders or domains on this list will bypass spam filtering and be delivered directly to your Inbox after being screened for viruses and other security threats.  (Note: When you place the Sender email address to the Safelist, please be sure that you 100% trust the Sender.)

Adding Safe Senders to Your Lists:

  • Blocklist:  Add the Sender of the message to your Blocked Senders List.
  • Click on "Lists" on the bottom left side of the screen.
  • Click on the Safe Senders List on the left side.
  • Click on the New button on the top of the screen.
  • In the box, type in the Sender's address, or it you'd like to make an entire domain safe, type in the domain in the format of "email@domain.com".
  • Click the Save button

Blocked Senders List: messages from addresses or domains in this list will not reach your Inbox.

 

Adding Blocked Senders to Your Lists:

  • Blocklist: Add the Sender of the message to your Blocked Senders List.
  • Click on "Lists" on the bottom left side of the screen.
  • Click on the Blocked Senders List on the left side.
  • Click the New button on the top of the screen.
  • In the box, type in the Sender's address@domain.com, or if you'd like to block an entire domain, type in the domain in the format of "domain.com".  It will block the entire domain.com.
  • Click the Save button.
