Planned OIT Network Outage 2017-09-14

 

Thursday, September 14th, 2017: Redwood Campus, Markosian Library

 

Outage Summary:

OIT will be performing maintenance tasks on networking equipment at the Redwood Campus, Markosian Library (LIB) basement floor. This activity will cause intermittent availability of all connectivity including Internet, Wireless, Voice and PCI during this maintenance. The outage is scheduled to begin at 9PM, services will be unavailable from Thursday September 14th and are expected to be re-established by 2AM on Friday September 15th

 

Site: Redwood Campus, Markosian Library Basement floor

Systems:  Internet, Wireless, VOIP and PCI

Use/Impact:  Intermittent voice, data, and PCI

Outage Window:  Thursday 09/14/17 from 9:00pm until Friday 09/15/17 at 2:00am

Thursday, September 14, 2017: Global Outage – Emergency Response System (E911)

 

Emergency Outage Summary:

OIT will be restarting the Cisco Emergency Responder Server. The outage will start Thursday, September 14, 2017 at 10:00 pm, and will affect All 911 calls made from All SLCC campuses, by NOT routing an emergency call out to a local public-safety answering point (PSAP) alert personnel via email or phone of an emergency call to respond to locally. Any 911 calls made will still be sent to Valley Emergency Communications Center (VECC), at which point a caller can still give name, and location if needed. Services will be re-established by 11:00 PM on Thursday, September 14, 2017.

Systems:  ALL 911 phone calls.

Use/Impact:  Emergency, 911 Phone Calls

Outage Window:  Thursday 09/14/17 from 10:00pm until Thursday 09/14/17 at 11:00pm
