Voice Maintenance Notification - 2015-07-23

Outage Summary:

OIT will be making some modifications to enable Jabber and other voice applications available outside the college. Modifications that will affect end users entails the installation of new certificates on the voice call manager servers, the voice mail server and the Jabber IM/Presence servers. This will be evident to any user who is using the Jabber client on a MAC or Windows PC which is not on the SLCC domain. The changes will present themselves by requiring the acceptance of the new certificates. Again, these changes are part of a larger voice project and are necessary to extend voice services outside the college. These changes will begin Thursday July 23rd at 4:30 PM and are scheduled to be completed by 6:30 PM. There will not be an voice outage due to redundant voice systems, however Jabber clients will need to be reset to default in order to auto discover the new server certificates. Detailed instructions will follow after the outage is complete.
