Student Identification Number (SID - S-Number))

Knowledge Base article header image

When a student is initially accepted at Salt Lake Community College, they are assigned an SID, or Student Number.  This student number will be a part of the students records indefinitely and will never change.

The SID's are nine-digit numbers beginning with a capital 'S'. SID's or 'S' numbers are used by SLCC in place of a Social Security Number (SSN). By using an SID instead of an SNN, SLCC provides another level of security to help protect you from identity theft.

How can I get my SID or S-Number?

There are several ways to obtain your SID.

1. ACCEPTANCE LETTER.  It is provided to you on your Acceptance Letter that is mailed out after you have completed your enrollment application and have been accepted as a student at SLCC.

2. ONECARD ID.  Your SID is listed on your SLCC OneCard ID.
